EAST has officially commenced construction on a 2.54MW distributed photovoltaic project at its manufacturing base for the East Data West Computing initiative. Utilizing existing rooftop space, the system adopts a “self-consumption with surplus feeding to the grid” model, bringing green power directly into production operations.

Project Highlights:
Annual generation: ~3.001 million kWh
25-year cumulative output: ~75.025 million kWh
Annual CO₂ reduction: ~2,677.51 tons
The project transforms idle rooftops into clean-energy assets without additional land occupation, supplying renewable electricity to on-site manufacturing and data center facilities while exporting excess power to the grid.
Strategic Significance:
This initiative marks a key step in EAST’s green manufacturing upgrade — integrating PV generation with energy storage and smart energy management to enhance overall system coordination. By using green energy to manufacture its own products, the company extends its sustainability commitment from R&D and client solutions to its own production footprint.
Moving forward, EAST will continue exploring hybrid applications of PV, storage, and digital energy technologies, driving low-carbon transformation across industrial ecosystems and demonstrating that clean, intelligent energy can power high-quality industrial development.
